No extract we purchased from vendors overseas was ever quite satisfactory- never good enough of a product for us to really get behind- and we thought we could do better. So that’s what we did, and our results surpassed our expectations. We’ve found that not only do we make a better product when we make it ourselves, but we are able to say confidently that no industrial solvents, hazardous chemicals, pharmaceutical materials, or intoxicating additives are used. We carefully inspect our ingredients, carefully monitoring for quality control. Using only two solvents, water and high purity grain alcohol (suitable for human consumption), we extract the fullest possible spectrum of alkaloids from ground and pulverized leaf, then remove all the plant solids, and allow the resulting solution to slowly evaporate in a low moisture, dust-free environment, leaving behind a number of precious alkaloids. The finished product is a beautiful crystalline extract that, even when broken into the tiniest fragments, softly gleams when passed under a bright light. We blend this extract (ground and sifted for even distribution/homogeneity) with our potent green veined leaf to create a truly unique botanical specimen: Aurora.
